Expo Competitions – Terms & Conditions

1. Introduction

1.1 These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern participation in competitions, giveaways, and promotions (“Competitions”) promoted on the Expo Competitions website.
1.2 By entering a Competition, participants agree to be bound by these Terms.
1.3 Expo Competitions acts only as a promoter and platform for Competitions. The companies (“Competition Sponsors”) who supply prizes are solely responsible for the running, fulfilment, and management of their giveaways.

2. Eligibility

2.1 Competitions are open to residents of South Africa aged 18 years or older, unless otherwise specified.
2.2 Employees, contractors, and immediate family members of Expo Competitions or participating sponsors may not enter.
2.3 Expo Competitions reserves the right to verify the eligibility of all entrants.

3. Entry

3.1 Entry requirements will be detailed on each Competition page. These may include completing an entry form, scanning a QR code, following social media pages, or any other specified method.
3.2 Each entrant may only enter once per Competition unless explicitly stated otherwise.
3.3 No purchase is necessary to enter unless specifically stated in the Competition details.

4. Prizes

4.1 The nature and value of each prize will be stated on the Competition page.
4.2 Prizes are supplied directly by the Competition Sponsors, who are solely responsible for prize fulfilment, delivery, and any obligations linked to the prize. Expo Competitions does not guarantee or warrant the quality, safety, or usability of prizes.
4.3 Prizes are non-transferable, non-exchangeable, and cannot be redeemed for cash.

5. Winner Selection & Notification

5.1 Winners will be selected by random draw or as otherwise stated in the Competition details (e.g., judged photo contest).
5.2 Winners will be notified via email, phone, or social media within 7 days of the draw.
5.3 If a winner cannot be contacted within 7 days, a replacement winner may be selected.

6. Data Protection & Privacy

6.1 By entering, participants consent to their personal data being collected and processed for the purposes of administering the Competition.
6.2 Data collected during Competitions is shared with and managed by the Competition Sponsors. By entering, participants agree that their data may be used by the Competition Sponsor in line with their own privacy practices.
6.3 Expo Competitions complies with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) and ensures that data is transferred securely to the Competition Sponsor.

7. Liability

7.1 Expo Competitions is not responsible for the management of prizes, delivery, or sponsor obligations. All responsibilities rest with the Competition Sponsor.
7.2 Expo Competitions accepts no responsibility for entries not received, technical issues, or delays beyond its control.
7.3 Expo Competitions is not liable for any injury, loss, or damage arising from participation in a Competition or acceptance of a prize.

8. General

8.1 Expo Competitions reserves the right to amend or cancel a Competition at any time without prior notice.
8.2 Expo Competitions’ decision regarding all aspects of a Competition is final and binding.
8.3 These Terms are governed by the laws of South Africa.
